Amarkantak - A beautiful place



                     Amarkantak 

Amarkantak is a beautiful and pilgrim town and a nagar panchyat in anuppur,madhya pradesh, India. The amarkantak region is a uniqe  natural heritage area and the meeting point of the vindhya and the satpura ranges with tha maikal hills being tha fulcrum . This is where the narmada river , the son river and johila river emege.

Place to visit in amarkantak          
1.Narmadakund :- narmadakund and its vicinity located in the heart of the city of amarkantak. This is the place where it is believed that the river narmada originated                                                                                                                                                                                  .2.kapil Dhara:- kapil dhara is a one of the non-religious attractions of the holy city of amarkantak. It is located just 6 km toward the north-west of the naramadakund temples.
              
3. Trimukhi temple:- trimukhi temple is located atop a hill in amarkantak and was constucted under the regin of the kalchuris.
4. Mai ki bagiya :- mai ki bagiya translated to mother's garden in english is situated around 5 km from narmadakund and cover the surrounding forests.
5.Sonemuda:- the point of inception of son river is this place situated 1.5 km away from narmadakund at the very edge of maikal moutain called sonemuda. 

6. Dudh Dhara Falls :- dudh dhar is a second beautiful fall in amarkantak .It is situated in 10 km of narmadakund. When water falls from good height it creat the milky appearance and looks like milk is falling from the sky. Public also use this as a best picnic spot in amarkantak.
